Philip Taylor is a Partner in Tompkins Wake where he specialises in commercial law. Phil has a strong commitment to make a contribution to his community where he can and is involved in the leadership of many community organisations including Age Concern Hamilton. Raised in a medical family with a father, wife, sister and aunt as doctors, Phil is a strong believer in the importance of mainstream medical thinking and treatment. However he also recognises the limitations of the health system in NZ and the benefits that a wider perspective focusing across all aspects of a person's well-being - the mind, body and spirit - can bring. As for alternative medicines - his attitude is if it works for you and it is not at the expense of mainstream treatment - go for it! As we all do, Phil experiences friends, family and colleagues' battles with cancer daily and sees the desperate need for a recognised programme of integrative medicine in NZ. He believes that Health Journeys has what it takes to deliver the best!
